» Adults / Seniors

The district defines adult as any player who has reached the age of eighteen (18) prior to or during the calendar year in which such player plays his/her first adult tournament.
  1. Residency in the five-county Philadelphia area.
  2. Age requirement for appropriate category.
  3. Current USTA membership in good standing at December 31.
  4. Adults, Seniors (35-and-over): Two (2) district events in each category in which the player wishes to be considered; one (1) win required.
  5. If a player defaults in any tournament before playing any matches, that event will not count toward the minimum requirements. Defaults and retirements will be considered losses.
  6. Head-to-head scores will be considered to break a tie. This includes matches played in national or sectional tournaments held within the district.
  7. USTA national tournaments and intersectional team events will not count as one of the required events for a district ranking. These events will count toward a USTA national ranking.
  8. Players representing the district in interdistrict competition must have residency in the five-county Philadelphia area, and their USTA membership card must show that residency.
  9. Philadelphia district adult/senior rankings will be derived from USTA/MS rankings.
  10. Players under 18 years of age will not be ranked since they do not meet the district's definition of adult.
