Dynamic NTRP will continue in 2005. Any player who is new to USA League Tennis or who has not played since 2000 or earlier will be able to self rate to play in 2005. Players will be able to self rate when they register for their teams on the internet. To aid in self rating, players can go to www.usta.com, Click on “Leagues” on the menu at left and then choose “NTRP.” There is a link to the General Characteristics of the levels after the description of the NTRP program. For a description of dynamic NTRP, choose “Dynamic NTRP” and then “FAQ”. Any player who has had a national or sectional ranking; has played college tennis; satellites; professional tennis or is a teaching professional must complete a Player History Form prior to playing in his/her first match. This form will eventually be able to be completed on line. Until then captains must make copies of the forms and have their players complete them if they fit the description of an "elite" player.

In 2005 teams must complete 90% of their matches in order to advance to championships level. Please be sure that when you sign up for a team that you have the commitment of enough players to play out the full schedule. Defaulting whole team matches is a serious offense. All matches must be reported as soon as they are played.

Please return the enclosed Team Registration form to your coordinator (listed on the back of this letter) by February 1. Your captain's folder will then be ready for you when you arrive at the meeting. This will expedite the check-in procedures. Regardless of who sent you the notice of the captains' meeting, please return your Team Registration to the coordinator who is working with your level and location of your flight. For example, if you are planning to play 3.5 or 4.0 in the Bucks County flight on Friday, please return your Team Registration form to Sally Baird. If you are planning to play 3.5 in a Main Line or a Chester County flight, please return your registration to Russell Chamberlin. Jean Raum will coordinate 4.0 women in the Main Line and Chester County areas. Dave Tolbert coordinates all men's flights and David Walker coordinates all 4.5 women's flights. Carol Parker continues to do 2.5 and 3.0 women.

Strings 'N Things will be at the meeting at the Ft. Washington Holiday Inn with an array of tennis clothing. Their store is near the hotel so you can stop by as well.
