Chilutti Named Comcast MVP

Mark Chilutti

Philadelphia's own Mark Chilutti was named Comcast MVP for the month of December.

Chilutti, ranked #1 in the Nation for Wheelchair Doubles was featured in a Comcast Sportsnet TV special December 23rd and honored for his contributions and accomplishments to Wheelchair Tennis and the Community.

Chilutti has only been playing wheelchair tennis for 2 years. He was introduced to the sport while at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in suburban Philadelphia. Since then, he and his partner: Tim Albertson of Virginia have soared to the number one ranking in the country for wheelchair doubles in the C Division. In fact, the pair closed out the 2003 season with an undefeated 9-0 record!

Chilutti was paralyzed from the chest down in a 1996 jewelry store heist in Center City.

Today, he works as the Director of Major Gifts for Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and conducts several school programs and assemblies on wheelchair tennis.
