"Golden Guys"

Philadelphia's Gold Cup program crowned its top boys in a season ending tournament this spring.

The Gold Cup boys faced off in competition at Gulph Mills Racquet Club the first week of May.

Matthew Blake finished first in the Boys 12s dfeating Ian Sipe:  6-4, 6-1.
Gary Wang upset Charles Baron to take the Boys 14s title:  6-3, 7-6 (1)
Robert Goldwein swept the Boy's 16s final in a decisive win over Brian Matuszewski:  6-0, 6-0
Brian Dudzinski came home with the Boys 18s trophy in a two setter over Paul Moeller:  6-2, 6-2.

Philadelphia's Gold Cup program is unique to the Philadelphia Area Tennis District and has served intermediate players in the district for the last 44 years.  This year, more than 170 juniors took advantage of the 4 month training program.
