The University of Pennsylvania was the setting for this spring's 2003 Philadelphia Wheelchair Tennis Tournament May 30th.

Top wheelchair athletes competed in a weekend tournament. In addition, nearly 30 students from the Widener Memorial School in North Philadelphia took part in a teen tennis clinic.

Moss Rehab and Magee Rehabilitation, both part of the Jefferson Health System joined the Philadelphia Department of Recreation's Carousel House in organizing the clinic for children with disabilities.

The Advanta Corporation, Kline and Specter, PC sponsored the event. Advanta's Al Jacobson was presented with the Earl Marmar Award in recognition of his efforts to promote wheelchair tennis.
