Yeadon Borough TO ACKNOWLEDGE President’s ACTIVE Lifestyle Award Winners

Yeadon, PA – January 9, 2012 - At 7:00PM on Thursday January 19, 2012, students that participated in Yeadon Borough’s 2011 junior tennis program at the old Yeadon Swim Club will be awarded the President’s Active Lifestyle Award, a program of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition. Mayor Dolores Jones-Butler, in association with Bernie Chavis, President/CEO of the Black Tennis Foundation of Philadelphia Incorporated which serves Philadelphia’s five county area, will make the presentation at the Yeadon Borough Council meeting at the borough hall.
“I want to acknowledge all participants of the summer tennis program and am excited about the upcoming summer plans here in Yeadon,” says Mayor Jones-Butler. “We are acknowledging our youngsters and their efforts, as well as offering early registration for our 2012 junior tennis program.”
